Privacy policy

What we collect

• Contact details you give us: name and phone number.
• Trip details: pickup and drop places, dates, number of travellers, car choice and any itinerary you share.
• WhatsApp messages you send to our business number, including photos, files and voice notes, and your WhatsApp profile name.
• Usage data from the website (pages visited, device and browser type) through cookies and analytics.

How we use it

• To answer your questions, quote prices, and arrange and confirm your booking.
• To share your pickup details with the driver assigned to your trip.
• To send you booking updates, bills and, if you ask, a review link.
• To improve our website and service.

We do not sell your information.

WhatsApp and our AI assistant

When you message our WhatsApp number, an automated assistant may reply first. To do that, your messages (and any photos, files or voice notes) are processed by an AI service (Google Gemini) to write a reply. A member of our team can read the conversation and take over at any time — ask for a person and we will hand you over. We use the WhatsApp Business Platform provided by Meta, which handles messages under WhatsApp's business terms.

Who we share it with

• The driver or rental partner who carries out your trip.
• Service providers that run our systems: Meta (WhatsApp), Google (maps and AI), Supabase (database), Vercel (hosting) and PostHog (website analytics). They process data only to provide their service to us.
• Authorities, when the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep booking records as long as needed for accounts and tax purposes, and enquiries and chats for up to two years unless you ask us to delete them sooner.

Your choices

You can ask us to show, correct or delete your information, or to stop messaging you, at any time. Email hi@tourmeghalaya.com or message us on WhatsApp. To stop WhatsApp messages you can also block our number.
