Preparations are underway at the Garo Heritage Village in Chibragre for the Golden Jubilee celebration of the Wangala Festival this November. Speaker Thomas A. Sangma inspected the site along with officials to ensure infrastructure and traffic plans are ready. To mark the 50th year of the organized festival, a special 1000 Drums Wangala performance will take place instead of the traditional 100 drums.
